Performances take place in a variety of venues, such as these:
The roofless San Galgano Abbey has wonderful acoustics
After 400 years of importance as a medieval monastery, the San Galgano Abbey is now a splendid ruin – and Operas performed at San Galgano have included: Rigoletto, The Barber of Seville, The Merry Widow and a Gala evening of operatic arias. In 2018 the program expanded to feature other types of music as well - have a look at the latest program here.
Puccini Festival venue on the Lake shore
Celebrating 115 years since its first Festival concert, this past year at Torre del Lago on the shores of Lake Massacciuccoli the Festival offered Tosca, Turandot, Madama Butterfly, La Bohème and Trittico. Click Puccini Festival for programme and details of the 2019 festival.

Massa Marittima's cathedral, music and the night sky
For four dramatic days in August the cathedral in Massa Marittima serves as a striking venue for operas whose orchestra is tucked into the cathedral steps while opera lovers take in ancient architecture, beloved arias and a starry sky. The 2018 season featured Verdi's Il Trovatore, Bizet's Carmen, Puccini's Suor Angelica, and Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana.
