Following the success of Tutti Matti Toronto, Alida Solomon will be bringing that success to the Tuscan region.
Tutti Matti Tuscany is set to be something which the region has never experienced before, with the majority of the produce used in the cooking coming from an on-site bio farm. This includes vegetables, herbs and game birds, which will then be cooked and prepared in house, as everything in the restaurant is, including their pasta. This will then be served in a unique farm to table style atmosphere.
The dream is to have two restaurants on the property - one a more upscale restaurant and the other a family style restaurant attached to the brew pub.
Frank Heaps is one of Canada’s leading craft brewing pioneers, and will integrate this into the restaurant. Due to the rapid growth of gourmet beer in Italy, this has allowed a market for a unique brewery such as this to be a feature of the restaurant. It is unique in the fact that they will grow their own barley; the main ingredient for their beer, on site.
An update: The above article was written in 2015, while the project, a huge undertaking, was still seeking investors. Plans were to have Tutti Matti San Dalmazio operating by mid-2016. The restaurant and brewery have not yet opened as of 2018, but we will let you know as soon as it does. In the meantime, rest assured there are many fine dining Italian restaurants to try, such as Gaetano Trovato's 'Arnolfo', a 2* Michelin restaurant in Colle Val d'Elsa. Stay at any of our Central Tuscany properties to put you in easy range of this dining treat.
