Initially a 14th cent. medieval tower house owned by members of the wool guild, the ground floor loggia was originally open with a ground floor shop and battlements
The Renaissance brought new merchant owners who created an upper loggia, audience halls, frescoed bedrooms and the rare indoor WC.
Furniture and household items range from the 14th to 19th centuries.
