The Annual Puccini Festival is performed in an open-air theatre in a park in Torre del Lago near the home of the famous composer.
The Puccini Festival is an annual Opera event held in a specially constructed arena on the Lake of Massaciuccoli, close to Viareggio, Pisa and Lucca. It normally runs from early July to mid August - you can see the program and buy tickets here:
The setting is glorious, the seats all face the expanse of the lake so the view beyond the stage is just of water and then the hills of Massaciuccoli.
