Le Pupille is located in the south of Tuscany, and the estate has an expansive coverage, stretching 75 hectares and producing eight different wines.
The most famous of these is Saffredi, which was first launched in 1987. The desire to release these wines to a wider audience led to the emergence of Morellino di Scansano as a “household name”; which was elevated to DOCG in 2006. This in part led to Le Pupille becoming an internationally acclaimed winery.
This has led the winery to bring in Armit Wines as its UK distributor, after deciding the company would be the best to represent its wines in the foreign market. Obviously both parties hope the move will mark the start of a long and prosperous relationship.
With Armit Wines supplying nearly all of the Michelin-starred restaurants in the UK, it won’t be long until these wines are gracing a table near you.
If you cannot wait until this happens, why not come and see the origins of these wines with a Tuscany holiday, and see for yourself why Tuscan wine is causing such a storm worldwide.
