A beautiful 6 Bedroom Villa and Pool in Chianti, Tuscany on a vineyard and wine estate. Perfect family reunion villa for rent with a large swimming pool for 12 people, chef and catering available. When the owner of Dimora set out to modernize this house on an organic 300-hectare farm in the woodlands and olive groves of the Chianti, he decided to respect the Nature surrounding his doorstep, and by collecting both sun and rain now manages to conserve energy with no sacrifice to comfort. In this sprawling ground-level house, whose every room opens onto the outside, you will never doubt that you are in the heart of Tuscany. Terracotta bricks and chestnut ceiling beams mix well with stylish colors and attractive fabrics of modern Italy and from every window there is the classic panorama of an ancient countryside.
Just past the tiled threshing floor, whose low wall now outlines a spacious covered furnished patio, the corner entry leads you to most of the rooms of the house. To the left is a hallway leading to a bathroom, a shower room and two front bedrooms, a twin and a double, whose arched French doors lead out to the patio. To the right of the entryway is the large sitting room, whose comfortable sofas, fireplace, filled bookshelves, and TV and CD/Stereo make it a natural place to gather. The sitting room opens to beautiful views off the furnished back terrace and quite handily to the excellently equipped kitchen, with a dining table for 12. A short hallway off the sitting room leads to a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with extra shower and a twin bedroom, with ensuite shower room. Both of these rooms have doors to the side garden and the swimming pool beyond. Two other bedrooms, each with ensuite shower or bath/shower rooms, have independent access from the front of the house, and in the case of the master double suite, also from a back loggia. Quite cleverly tucked below the horizon and to the back of the house is a large laundry room.
The design of the house and its gardens ensure that one can easily find a quiet space, be it on one of the furnished terraces, under the natural shade looking onto the swimming pool or in the Jacuzzi itself, or near the barbecue when outdoor dining is the plan for the evening. Yet this house is excellently located and a short drive will bring you to good restaurants, ancient churches, and easy access to roads to leading to medieval and renaissance towns that make this region famous.

CalendarCaro Guido, another wonderful week in Dimora, our second year. We will definitely be back next year and the next and the next!
Thank you for your hospitality and kindness that made our stay fantastic as usual. The home-cooking by Pieranna adds a touch that you cannot find anywhere else in Tuscany. The Chianti region is beautiful also in autumn.
Dimora was perfect and exactly what we wanted for our objective ie a family get together across 3 generations. The unseasonal inconsistency of the weather simply didn’t matter.
The location, peacefulness and outlook across the valley were truly memorable. The property was ideal for our number (10 including 2 small children). Big enough for grumpy old men like me to find pockets of peace and quiet when required, but also splendid communal areas both inside and outside for everyone. We didn’t want a ‘pristine sterile villa’ but somewhere a little more rustic and that objective was completely achieved.
The arrangements for provision of the special meal by Pieranna and Valentina worked like clockwork. The weather was kind, the food was magnificent and, despite our language barrier, Pieranna was an utter delight.
We had a lovely holiday, really, really lovely. The villa was wonderful, we all loved it. Beautiful mix of old and newer bits of furniture. Very comfortable in every way.
There were loads of zones so people could feel that had space if they wanted some quiet time.
The care package left for us was just the best and so hugely appreciated.
We ate in most nights as we love to cook and the kitchen was a dream.
Not sure where it is that you mention us having to pay a people tax once we arrived. Must have missed that. Think this might need to be a little clearer. We hadn't come across this before.
We had a wonderful family holiday at Dimora - all three generations enjoyed the spacious, comfortable accommodation, the excellent swimming pool and grounds and, of course, the enticing seating areas outside overlooking the view and stunning sunsets.
We were made very welcome at the Osteria L'Antica Quercia in Sant' Appiana, and enjoyed good food on their large terrace overlooking the hills. The Coop in Barbarino was fine for the everyday bits and the supermarket in Poggibonsi catered for everything else.
The house was in a good position to revisit Florence, Siena and San Gimignano and also to discover Monteriggioni with its ramparts, the old town of Certado and an entertaining evening meat festival in Tavernelle. However, it was also marvellous to return to the peace and quiet of Dimora, jump in the pool, light the barbecue and sit with a glass of Fizzante watching the sunset.
Thank you for all your helpful suggestions and advice, Dan. Invitation to Tuscany was as friendly and efficient in 2018 as it was in 2004!! Well done!
