Villa Quirico is a restored 18th-century villa in Lucca, Tuscany, offering modern comforts while retaining historic charm. With eleven bedrooms, a private pool, and spacious gardens, it accommodates groups or families.
The villa features a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor dining, and panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside. Its location provides easy access to Lucca’s historic center, wineries, and coastal areas, making it ideal for both relaxation and exploration.
Set in the picturesque hills of Vorno, at the base of Mount Pisano, and surrounded by olive groves and pine forest hilltops with castle ruins, villa Quirico was originally constructed as the summer retreat for the Controni family, prominent merchants of Lucca.
Guests can enjoy an outdoor dining space in the villa's rear area, offering an exclusive view of the olive groves and neighbouring villages. Additionally, there's another dining area with a BBQ nestled under the arched loggia.

The villa has 11 frescoed bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Four extra beds are available at extra charge. The ground floor of the villa comprises a dining room accommodating up to 26 guests, a living room equipped with a satellite TV and DVD player, four bathrooms, a laundry area with a washing machine and dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen. Additionally, there's a billiard room and a reading room available for our guests' use. It also includes one bedroom with an en-suite bathroom complete with a shower.
The first floor includes a living room adorned with Murano glass chandeliers offering beautiful views of the villa's park, an elegant studio, and six double bedrooms complete with en-suit bathrooms with bathtub and shower, one of them has twin beds that can be converted into double.
The second floor features an attic adorned with wooden beamed ceilings and comprises five luxury double bedrooms, elegantly designed, some including walk-in closets, and all equipped with en-suite bathrooms with shower.
Villa Quirico benefits from a picturesque hillside location, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. It's a short 5-minute drive to the small supermarket and local restaurants in Vorno.
A 15-minute drive from the villa will take you to the historic town of Lucca, known as one of Tuscany’s refined cultural centres. The city is a blend of palaces, towers and churches, protected by imposing Renaissance walls that provide an exceptional setting for leisurely strolls.
Furthermore, a 30-minute drive will take you to Pisa, while in just over an hour's drive, you can explore the main attractions of Florence.

We can hold dates for you for 48 hours while you make sure everything lines up, then you simply pay the deposit (30% of total) to secure your booking. The balance will then be due 10 weeks before you travel.

If you simply need to change your dates please let us know: we can often modify your booking rather than cancelling outright.
Many local administrations now charge a “Tourist Tax” for people staying in rented accommodation and these vary from town to town. The charges are generally per person per night with a maximum number of nights, usually around 5 but sometimes 7, beyond which they will not charge. The charges range between 50 cents to 5 euro. Children are sometimes included, sometimes not and these charges should be collected by the property owners.
